Tantiv4 is pleased to announce that it has won the Thread Group’s selection for the Innovation Enablers Program. The Program recognizes that much of the innovation in the Connected Home will come from small start-up companies. Tantiv4 has been a strong supporter of Thread since the company’s inception, as can be seen in several of its IOT device offerings.
“We are using 6LoWPAN based architecture for our devices – FetchIT, FetchitGO™, MedIT, DetectIT, SwitchIT products on Contiki. 6LoWPAN routing is used as the primary control mechanism between the devices and the internet gateway. This improves performance and power consumption bringing in efficiency to the system, addressing a crucial pain point,” said Lokesh Johri, co-founder and CEO of Tantiv4 Inc.
The Thread stack is built into the firmware of these devices, which utilize its ThingaOS™. Tantiv4 is working on several projects incorporating Thread and bridging connectivity to the Google Cloud Platform, thereby allowing access to available services like Tensor Flow and AI. This capability will be shown at our Suite during CES2019.
